2011 Writers Online Workshop. Feb. 14-Mar. 31 and again May 15-June 30

Here’s how we roll: Email me a short story or work of non-fiction (up to 4,000 words) by February 14. You’ll be included in an online discussion forum with the other 9 participants where we’ll discuss the issues important to each of you, with some instructor guidance. What does it mean to be a writer? Where do the commas go? What is an emdash? Why am I telling this story?

I’ll edit your work and send you some illuminating comments in the first week of March, at which point you’ll be inspired to revise your story. You’ll send me draft 2 around March 18, continuing participation in the forum as much as you please, and by March 31, you’ll receive feedback on the revised version of your story, with some very simple copy editing pointers to beautify your work along the way. Fun, easy, and just challenging enough.
